As the second-longest-running title after IML, Mr. San Francisco Leather represents more than a contest; it’s a symbol of resilience, camaraderie, and passion.

The 2025 Mr. San Francisco Leather title was dedicated in honor of the late David Kloss, a true pioneer who made history as the first to represent San Francisco at International Mr. Leather (IML) in 1979—and the very first to claim the title of IML.
David’s passing was a profound loss, but as we usher in a new chapter, we do so by honoring the very foundation on which this legacy stands. David, you were the beginning, the trailblazer, and the heart of it all. Your spirit will forever live on in the leather community, inspiring those who follow in your footsteps.
