Judy Tallwing McCarthey-IMsL 1987
Judy is an Apache/Tewa, African American, and Irish activist, Leather Dyke, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who has dedicated her life to fighting racism, sexism, and injustice. Raised in an Apache encampment in Arizona’s Bradshaw Mountains, she learned traditional medicine from her grandmother. Her activism spans Native American rights, women’s empowerment, and the AIDS crisis, when she fought for research funding and delivered life-saving medications to those in need.
Judy has led a domestic violence victims program, founded a no-kill animal shelter, and rescued people and animals abandoned during Hurricane Katrina. An accomplished painter and sculptor, her work has been exhibited at the American Visionary Art Museum, with pieces held by the Heard Museum and the Smithsonian. A longtime Leather community mentor, she was one of the four original incorporators of the Leather Archives & Museum.
Her honors include the Pantheon of Leather Forebear and Lifetime Achievement Awards, the National LGBTQ Task Force Leather Leadership Award, the Sir Leon Strange Memorial Award, and the Ms. San Francisco Leather Legacy Award. She is a proud Onyx Pearl Luster Southwest and matriarch of the House of Iron, the first Indigenous Leather house. READ FULL BIO HERE

Tracii has been a proud San Francisco resident for just over 20 years, finding his chosen family and cultural home within the city’s vibrant leather and kink community. Since 2021, he’s been honored to serve as a member of the Imperial Court, dedicating himself to community service, visibility, and celebration. Tracii held the titles of Mr. Powerhouse and Mr. San Francisco Leather 2025 , representing the spirit, strength, and unity of the city’s leather scene.
